To make a copy of the movie to DVD-R/RW or DVD+R/RW disc you should complete the following steps:
- Select the DVD mode. (This can be done by pressing DVD button on the main window of application.)
- Select the source drive with Video-DVD discs inserted in it. (Top combo box with the drive name.)
- Select the burner device which supports DVD burning. (Bottom combo box with the drive name.)
- Select the output folder. (This can be done through dialog options. You should press OPTIONS button to
open Options Dialog. The logical drive with this folder should have at least 4.5 GB of free space to store
temporal data.)
- Press RUN button. (Green button with triangle.)
The next steps depend on the Video-DVD disc you'd like to copy. If it is a Single Layer Video-DVD disc (The
amount of layers is detected automatically by the application) then no more questions will be asked by the application.
If it is a Dual Layer Disk, then application will ask you to select the mode which should be used while ripping.
Dual DVD Copy Platinum supports the three different modes:
- Extracts one video chain and burns it to DVD+R/RW or DVD-R/RW media;
- Recompresses the whole Video-DVD disc with menus and extras and fits it into a single DVD+R/RW or DVD-R/RW media;
- Makes the exact copy of the Video-DVD disk and burns it to DVD+R9 media;
When you are using the second and the third mode the application will not ask you any more questions.
If you have selected the first mode then you should perform the following steps:
- Select IFO file with information about the video chain you'd like to rip. (IFO file could be found on the DVD
disk in VIDEO_TS folder.)
- Select the desired movie clip from the list in the Video Chain dialog box. The audio chain and
subtitles can also be selected in this dialog box.
- Press OK button in the Video Chain dialog box.
When the rippping stage is completed the dialog box will appear to ask you to instert blank (DVD+R/RW or
DVD-R/RW disk for the 1st and the 2nd modes, and DVD+R9 disc for the 3rd mode) into the destination device. (If the disc is
already in the destination device, then just press
OK button.)
The progress bar in the main window will show the entire progress. You will be able to stop ripping at any moment.
