Dual DVD copy Platinum allows you to make copy of a Video-DVD disc to DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVD+R9(Dual Layer) media.
For DVD5 discs (Single Layer) the application creates precise image of the original media. All menus and subtitles are also preserved on
the resulting DVD disc.
The DVD9 (Dual Layer) disks can be copied by using the three different modes:
- Extracts one video chain and burns it to DVD+R/RW or DVD-R/RW media;
- Recompresses the whole Video-DVD disc with menus and extras and fits it into one DVD+R/RW or DVD-R/RW media;
- Makes an exact copy of the Video-DVD disc and burns it to DVD+R9 media;
The application asks you to select the mode before the ripping process begins. The higest quality of the copy could be
provided by using the third mode because no recomression of the video takes place.
When using the first mode the application extracts only one video chain and one audio stream for the movie. The video
chain and audio stream are selected by you. This allows to store the whole movie with the best quality. No more
data are placed on the disc.
The second mode allows you to burn the copy of the original disc with all menus and extra video clips to a target
blank DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW disc. This mode provides worse quality of the video because too much information will be
placed on one disc.
To use this mode you should have DVD+ or DVD- burner (or drive which supports burning of DVD+R9 disks) with any of the hardware interfaces (IDE, USB, FireWire).
